Beijing, China, August 16, 2023, Dongguan Xianjian Quantum Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (东莞先健量子医疗科技有限公司), a joint venture controlled by Lifetech, announced the introduction of the Epione® interventional oncology robotic platform by Quantum Surgical, a French company, to China.
The Epione® system has received approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).
The Epione® robotic platform is dedicated to the curative treatment of cancers. Epione® allows physicians to treat tumors that are particularly difficult to reach, due to their size or their location, at an early stage, in a simple and effective way.
This successful market entry in China marks a new chapter in Lifetech's involvement in the field of tumor intervention. The technology will be actively applied for the treatment of various abdominal solid organ tumors, including liver, kidney, and pancreatic cancers.
